The Corker Hill Home restoration is continuing. Trees and shrubs have been removed to help prevent additional damage from roots growing into the foundation of the home. Over the years the brick mortar around the second floor windows has deteriorated. In 2020 while repairing bricks, masons discovered that the window sills were severely damaged. This damage was caused by water that had leaked through the cracks in the mortar. This year work has started on replacing or repairing the damaged window sills. The craftsmanship of the window frames is amazing. The window frames and sills appear to be crafted by hand.
The Corker Hill Barn is also having some work done. New barn doors will be constructed and hung. The center beam to which the barn doors are connected is in the process of being replaced. When you look at the timber in the barn, imagine the work required to build this structure.
