Public Hearing – Melonie De Mendoza Variance Request
PUBLIC NOTICE
Notice of public hearing is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (Act 247 and 170 as amended) and the Greene Township Code (as amended). The purpose of said public hearing is for the Greene Township Zoning Hearing Board to hear the following: Request #1, submitted by Melonie De Mendoza, 93 Sunny Lane, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Property is located in the R-2 (Medium Density Residential) Zoning District and would be classed as an Existing small lot per Greene Township Code 105-27.D. Applicant is requesting a variance of the minimum required front yard setback distance in the approximate amount of 8 feet for construction of an 8’ x 16’ front porch onto the front of her dwelling. Request is in reference to Greene Township Code 105-27.D(3) which provides that no dwelling need have a front yard setback greater than the average of the two existing dwellings with the greatest setback located within 100 feet on each side of the said proposed dwelling, on the same side of the street, within the same block, and the same district. The public hearing on the request will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July16, 2024 in the Greene Township Building Meeting Room, 1145 Garver Lane, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
