Public Hearing – Hood Variance Request

PUBLIC NOTICE 

Notice of a public hearing is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (Act 247 and 170 as amended) and the Greene Township Code (as amended). The purpose of said public hearing is for the Greene Township Zoning Hearing Board to hear a request submitted by John and Krystle Hood, 6254 Molly Pitcher Highway, Shippensburg, PA 17257. Property is located in the R-2 (Medium Density Residential) Zoning District. Requested is a variance of the required 100’ minimum setback distance from all property lines for animal housing in order to house chickens on the property. Request is in reference to Greene Township Code 105-8.A(9)(e). The hearing will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, August 26, 2024 in the Greene Township Building Meeting Room, 1145 Garver Lane, Chambersburg, PA 17202. The hearing is open to the public.
