Public Hearing – Greene Township Zoning Map Amendment

PUBLIC NOTICE 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Supervisors of Greene Township, Franklin County, Pennsylvania, will hold a public hearing to consider for adoption an Ordinance entitled and summarized hereinafter, at its regularly scheduled meeting to be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at 12:00 noon at the Greene Township Municipal Building. The title of the proposed Ordinance is:

AN ORDINANCE OF GREENE TOWNSHIP, FRANKLIN COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, AMENDING THE GREENE TOWNSHIP ZONING MAP, AS ADOPTED AND MADE A PART OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE IN ARTICLE II, SECTION 105-3 OF THE CODE OF GREENE TOWNSHIP, BY REDESIGNATING VARIOUS FRANKLIN COUNTY TAX PARCELS FROM THE MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL (R-2) ZONING DISTRICT TO THE LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL (R-1) ZONING DISTRICT.

Following the public hearing, the Board of Supervisors may vote to enact said proposed ordinance.

Amending the Zoning Map of the Township of Greene by rezoning all or a portion of the following Franklin County Tax Parcel Numbers from the Medium Density Residential (R-2) Zoning District to the Low Density Residential (R-1) Zoning District:

All other aspects of the Zoning Map of the Township of Greene are to remain the same, provisions of the Ordinance are severable, and certain ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with this Ordinance are repealed.

A copy of the proposed Ordinance has been filed with the newspaper publishing this notice and at the Greene Township Municipal Building.
