Public Hearing – Conditional Use Permit Request

PUBLIC NOTICE 

Notice of a public hearing is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (Act 247 and Act 170 as amended) and the Greene Township Code (as amended). The public hearing will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 in the Greene Township Building Meeting Room, 1145 Garver Lane, Chambersburg, PA 17202. The purpose of the public hearing is for the Greene Township Board of Supervisors to receive evidence and testimony regarding a request for a Conditional Use Permit submitted by Bright Eye Solar, 1200 Corporate Blvd., Suite 16, Lancaster, PA 17601 on behalf of the Mann Plumbing & Heating, LLC property located at 6210 Lincoln Way East, Fayetteville, PA 17222. The property is located in the HC (Highway Commercial) Zoning District. Proposed is the installation of a roof mounted solar energy conversion system on the south facing roof of the main office building to provide solar energy to the premises. Commercial application of a solar energy conversion system is listed as a Conditional Use in the HC Zoning District. The request is in reference to Greene Township Code 105-10.B(5) and 105-60. Conditional Uses. Following the conclusion of the public hearing, the Board of Supervisors may vote on granting the Conditional Use Permit during the regular portion of the Board of Supervisors meeting commencing at 7:00 p.m. on November 12, 2024 in the Greene Township Building Meeting Room, 1145 Garver Lane, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
