Public Hearing – Cellco Partnership dba Verizon Wireless
PUBLIC NOTICE
Notice of a public hearing is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (Act 247 and 170 as amended) and the Greene Township Code (as amended). The purpose of the hearing is for the Greene Township Zoning Hearing Board to hear a request submitted by Cellco Partnership d/b/a Verizon Wireless, 512 Township Line Road, Building 2, Floor 3, Blue Bell, PA 19422 as lessee of property located at 3265 Woodstock Road, Chambersburg identified by Franklin Co. Tax U.P.I #09-0C13.-021.-000000 and owned by Driftwood Group, LLC, 4961 Cumberland Highway, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Property is located in the R-1 (Low Density Residential) Zoning District. Proposed is erection of a 160’ high Personal wireless or cellular telecommunication tower on the subject property. A Personal wireless or cellular telecommunication facility is not listed as a permitted use in the R-1 Zoning District. Applicant is requesting a use variance in order to place a Personal wireless or cellular telecommunication tower on the property. Request is in reference to Greene Township Code 105-7.A Permitted uses R-1 Zoning District. In addition, applicant is requesting a dimensional variance from the 40 foot maximum structure height in the amount of 120 feet for construction of the tower which is proposed to be 160 feet in height. Request is in regard to Greene Township Code 105-17.A, Height (maximum) for a structure in the R-1 Zoning District. The public hearing on this request will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2025 in the Greene Township Building Meeting Room, 1145 Garver Lane, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
