Public Hearing – Geisler and Horst Variance Requests
PUBLIC NOTICE
Notice of public hearings is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (Act 247 and 170 as amended) and the Greene Township Code (as amended). The purpose of said public hearings is for the Greene Township Zoning Hearing Board to hear the following: Request #1, submitted by Jerome and Charlotte Geisler, 967 Coldspring Road, Fayetteville, PA 17222. Property is located in the R-2 (Medium Density Residential) Zoning District. Applicant is requesting a variance of the 30’ minimum required front yard setback distance in the approximate amount of 24 ½ feet for construction of a 30’ x 22’ detached carport to be located off of Brookens Road. Request is in reference to Greene Township Code 105-25.F. Request #2, submitted by G.V. Rentals, 5292 Cumberland Highway, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Property is located in the HC (Highway Commercial) Zoning District. Applicant is requesting a use variance in order to place solar energy conversion panels on the roofs of their facility buildings at 5292 Cumberland Highway as part of a solar energy commercial operation. Solar energy commercial operations are not listed as a permitted use in the HC Zoning District. Request is in reference to Greene Township Code 105-10.A Permitted uses HC Zoning District. The public hearings on these requests will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 in the Greene Township Building Meeting Room, 1145 Garver Lane, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
